The Fujitsu FMV Note U is a laptop with a 14 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel display, and support for up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V Intel Lunar Lake processor with 32GB of LPDDR5x-8533 RAM and Intel Arc 140V integrated graphics.

It’s also an extraordinarily lightweight laptop, with a starting weight of 848 grams (about 1.87 pounds), making it one of the lightest laptops to qualify as a Copilot+ PC. In fact, it’s even lighter than the 2.2 pound Asus Zenbook A14 even though the Asus model has an ARM-based Qualcomm Snapdragon X series processor. It’s unclear if the Fujitsu laptop will be available outside of Japan anytime soon though.

The Fujitsu FMV Note U is also rather expensive. It’s available in Japan for 214,000 JPY (about $1375) and up – but the entry level model features an Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processor with 16GB of RAM and just 256GB of storage. You’ll have to pay more if you want additional memory or storage.

The laptop measures 308.8 x 209 x 17.3mm (12.16″ x 8.23″ x 0.68″) at its thickest point, and comes with a 64 Wh battery. While there are certainly laptops with higher-capacity batteries (up to 99.99 Wh, which is the maximum allowed for carry-on luggage on airplanes), that’s not bad at all for a notebook that weighs less than 2 pounds.

Ports include:

  • 2 x Thunderbolt 4
  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
  • 1 x HDMI
  • 1 x Ethernet
  • 1 x 3.5mm audio
  • 1 x microSD card reader

Other features include a backlit keyboard, a 2MP IR camera with support for Windows Hello face recognition, a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button, an ambient light sensor, stereo speakers, and support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth.
