Acer is returning to the mini PC market with a new compact desktop computer that weighs just 700 grams (1.54 pounds) and has a volume of 0.75 liters. But thanks to an Intel Lunar Lake processor with Intel Arc integrated graphics, the new Acer Revo Box AI (RB102-LNL) should pack the power of a decent laptop into a package with a somewhat more versatile set of ports.
The little computer comes in black and white color options, features a fingerprint reader on the case, and is small enough to easily mount to the back of a display.
Acer says the Revo Box AI will be available with a choice of processors ranging from an Intel Core Ultra 5 226V to a Core Ultra 7 258V and up to 32GB of LPDDR5x memory (which is, sadly, not user upgradeable since it’s on the same package as the chip) and two M.2 2280 slots for PCIe Gen 4 storage. Acer will offer the system with up to a 1TB SSD, but it’s nice to know you can replace or augment that.
It supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 by default, but wireless capabilities should also be upgradeable thanks to an M.2 2230 slot.
There are also two M.2 2230 slots with support for wireless cards (it comes with a WiFi 6E and BT 5.3 card by default), and a set of ports that includes:
- 1 x HDMI 2.1
- 1 x DisplayPort 2.0
- 1 x USB4 Type-C
- 4 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 2 x 2.5 GbE Ethernet
- 1 x 3.5mm audio
- 1 x DC power input
The computer measures 131 x 131 x 43mm (5.2″ x 5.2″ x 1.7″), weighs 500 grams (about 1.1 pounds), and comes with an Acer Wireless Elite 9 mouse and keyboard.
