Here’s a look back at Week 13’s action and fantasy advice for the week ahead:
WEEK 13 RECAP
Lions 23, Bears 20: Detroit failed to score a rushing touchdown for the first time in 25 games, an NFL record.
Cowboys 27, Giants 20: Rico Dowdle ran for 112 yards on 22 carries (both career highs) and a TD against the G-Men. It was the first time a Dallas running back ran for more than 100 yards since Tony Pollard did it Week 3 against Arizona last year. The 26-game span was the longest 100-yard game drought in franchise history.
Packers 30, Dolphins 17: Josh Jacobs was stuffed for 43 yards on 19 carries against Miami on Thanksgiving night, but he also contributed a rushing TD and four receptions for 74 yards to salvage the evening. Jacobs has at least 90 total yards in eight straight games, and has also scored nine total TDs over that span.
Chiefs 19, Raiders 17: Patrick Mahomes is on pace to throw for 4,220 yards, 27 TDs and 16 interceptions, which seems subpar for two-time NFL MVP, but he’s the overall QB9 in fantasy through 13 weeks. Mahomes has finished as the overall QB1, QB8, QB4, QB4, QB1, and QB8 in his six seasons as a starting quarterback for Kansas City.
Chargers 17, Falcons 13: The Bolts’ 187 total yards were their fewest in a win since Week 10 in 2007 against the Colts.
Steelers 44, Bengals 38: Russell Wilson was a premium streaming option last week against Cincinnati, and paid huge dividends if he was in your lineup with 414 passing yards and three TDs against only one interception. In his six starts this season, he’s finished as the weekly QB3, QB24, QB9, QB26, QB19 and QB4.
Vikings 23, Cardinals 22: Marvin Harrison Jr. received the most targets (12) he’s seen all year, catching five balls for 60 yards and a TD. Harrison Jr. is on pace to catch 58 balls in 111 targets for 859 yards and 10 TDs his rookie season. His father, Marvin Sr., had 64 receptions in 118 targets for 836 yards and eight TDs his rookie season for the Colts in 1996.
Colts 25, Patriots 24: Since getting his starting gig back in Week 11, Anthony Richardson is the overall QB6 in fantasy with two top-10 finishes in the last three weeks.
Seahawks 26, Jets 21: Leonard Williams 92-yard interception return TD in the second quarter was the longest pick-six by a 300-pound player in NFL history.
Commanders 42, Titans 19: It’s possible Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is actually in the midst of his breakout season. He’s flashed before this and two months is quite the sample size. NWI is the overall WR6 in standard formats (WR14 in PPR) since Week 6 with a TD reception in seven of the last eight games.
Texans 23, Jaguars 20: Joe Mixon finished with 101 yards on 20 carries and a TD at Jacksonville. Mixon is the first player in NFL history to run for 100-plus yards and at least one TD in six straight road games.
Rams 21, Saints 14: L.A. was shut out in the first half for the first time in the regular season under coach Sean McVay. The only other time it’s happened was the Rams’ loss to the Patriots in Super Bowl LIII.
Eagles 24, Ravens 19: Saquon Barkley is on pace to rush for 2,124 yards on 348 carries (6.1 yards per carry) and 16 TDs — all would be career highs and the yards would break Eric Dickerson’s 40-year-old NFL record.
Buccaneers 26, Panthers 23 (OT): Only Barkley and Jacobs are averaging more fantasy points in standard or PPR formats at running back than Bucky Irving since Week 10.
Bills 35, 49ers 10: Josh Allen became the first quarterback since 1944 to have a passing, rushing and receiving TD in the same game. The Eagles’ Roy Zimmerman did it against the Giants at the Polo Grounds, also kicking a field goal and three extra points.
Broncos 41, Browns 32: Jerry Jeudy’s 235 receiving yards against Denver on Monday night is the most in NFL history by a player in a game against his former team, topping Terrell Owens’ 213 receiving yards against the 49ers in 2008.

Here’s my best bets for Week 14:
GREEN BAY AT DETROIT
Obvious starters: Josh Jacobs (GB), Jayden Reed (GB), Amon-Ra St. Brown (DET), Jahmyr Gibbs (DET), David Montgomery (DET).
Who to start: Jordan Love (GB) is the overall QB9 since returning from injury in Week 4 and had 268 passing yards, 39 rushing yards and three TD passes at Detroit last season. Christian Watson (GB) has flex appeal and received a season-high seven targets against the Lions in Week 9. Sam LaPorta (DET) is the overall TE10 in standard formats (TE13 in PPR) since Week 6 with five TDs in his last seven games. In his last four home games, Jared Goff (DET) has completed 78.1% of his passes for 1,010 yards, 11 TDs and no interceptions.
Who to sit: I’m fading Tucker Kraft (GB) against a defense allowing the fewest fantasy points to tight ends. The Packers D/ST faces an offense allowing the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing defenses. I’m fading Jameson Williams (DET) against a defense allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. The Lions D/ST faces an offense allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing defenses.
Sleeper: Dontayvion Wicks (GB) faces a defense allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers with Romeo Doubs still out (concussion).
JACKSONVILLE AT TENNESSEE
Obvious starters: Evan Engram (JAC), Tony Pollard (TEN).
Who to start: Brian Thomas Jr. (JAC) is the overall WR6 in standard formats (WR13 in PPR) through 13 weeks. Travis Etienne Jr. (JAC) has flex appeal against a defense that has allowed eight rushing TDs to running backs in the last seven games. Calvin Ridley (TEN) is the overall WR12 in standard formats (WR11 in PPR) since Week 8. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (TEN) maintains flex appeal against a defense allowing the third-most fantasy points to wide receivers. Tyjae Spears (TEN) has flex appeal against a defense that has allowed seven rushing TDs to running backs in the last five games. The Titans D/ST deserve streaming consideration at home against an offense that has allowed double-digit fantasy points to opposing defenses in two of the last three games.
Who to sit: Tank Bigsby (JAC) hasn’t had double-digit touches since Week 8. Chig Okonkwo (TEN) remains TD-dependent with three-or-fewer receptions in 11 of 12 games this season.
Sleeper(s): The Jaguars D/ST face an offense allowing the most fantasy points to opposing defenses. Will Levis (TEN) faces a defense allowing the most fantasy points to quarterbacks, including 24 TD passes in 12 games.
N.Y. JETS AT MIAMI
Obvious starters: Garrett Wilson (NYJ), De’Von Achane (MIA), Tyreek Hill (MIA), Jonnu Smith (MIA).
Who to start: Breece Hall (NYJ) remains an obvious starter if active (knee), but it appears he has regressed this week and the Jets may be tempted to rest him with not much to play for. Davante Adams (NYJ) is the overall WR26 in standard formats (WR23 in PPR) since Week 9, including 24 receptions in 43 targets for 260 yards and two TDs in the last four games. Tua Tagovailoa (MIA) is the overall QB7 since returning from his latest concussion in Week 8 with 13 TD passes against only one interception in the last six games.
Who to sit: Aaron Rodgers (NYJ) faces a defense allowing the third-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. I’m fading the Jets D/ST on the road and potentially without Sauce Gardner (hamstring). Tyler Conklin (NYJ) remains TD-dependent with only 11 targets in the last four games. Jaylen Waddle (MIA) faces a defense allowing the fewest fantasy points to wide receivers and Waddle has four-or-fewer targets in four of the last seven games. Raheem Mostert (MIA) hasn’t had double-digit touches since Week 9.
Sleeper: Braelon Allen (NYJ) would likely see a significant increase in usage if Allen is out.
ATLANTA AT MINNESOTA
Obvious starters: Bijan Robinson (ATL), Drake London (ATL), Justin Jefferson (MIN), Aaron Jones (MIN), Vikings D/ST.
Who to start: Darnell Mooney (ATL) is the overall WR17 in standard formats (WR19 in PPR) through 13 weeks and is facing a defense allowing the most fantasy points to wide receivers. Kyle Pitts (ATL) faces a defense that has allowed 36 receptions for 304 yards to tight ends in the last four games. Jordan Addison (MIN) is the overall WR9 in standard formats (WR10 in PPR) since Week 9 with 22 receptions on 33 targets for 344 yards and three TDs in the last five games. Sam Darnold (MIN) is the overall QB8 through 13 weeks and faces a defense that has allowed multiple TD passes in seven of the last eight games.
Who to sit: I’m fading Kirk Cousins (ATL) against a defense that has only allowed four TD passes in the last five games. Tyler Allgeier (ATL) is TD-dependent against a defense allowing the third-fewest fantasy points to running backs. T.J. Hockenson (MIN) is the overall TE17 in standard formats (TE12 in PPR) since returning from injury Week 9 and faces a defense that has only allowed seven receptions for 74 yards to tight ends in the last three games.
Sleeper: Ray-Ray McCloud (ATL) has flex appeal against a defense that has allowed 14 TDs to wide receivers in the last nine games.
NEW ORLEANS AT N.Y. GIANTS
Obvious starters: Alvin Kamara (NO), Malik Nabers (NYG).
Who to start: Marquez Valdes-Scantling (NO) has 232 yards on seven receptions (10 targets) and four TDs in his last three games with New Orleans, and the Giants are susceptible to allowing big plays through the air. Tyrone Tracy Jr. (NYG) is the overall RB18 in standard formats (RB19 in PPR) since Week 5. Wan’Dale Robinson (NYG) has flex appeal against a defense allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to wide receivers.
Who to sit: Derek Carr (NO) faces a defense that has allowed multiple TD passes once in the last eight games. Devin Singletary (NYG) hasn’t had double-digit touches since Week 4. Darius Slayton (NYG) remains a boom-or-bust candidate with only 10 receptions in his last five games. Drew Lock (NYG) only has value in superflex formats.
Sleeper: The Saints D/ST deserve streaming consideration against an offense allowing the third-most fantasy points to opposing defenses.
CAROLINA AT PHILADELPHIA
Obvious starters: Saquon Barkley (PHI), Jalen Hurts (PHI), A.J. Brown (PHI).
Who to start: Adam Thielen (CAR) is the overall WR15 across most fantasy formats since returning from injury in Week 12. Devonta Smith (PHI) maintains WR3/flex upside if he’s active (hamstring). The Eagles D/ST are the third-highest scoring defense in fantasy since Week 6.
Who to sit: I’m fading Chuba Hubbard (CAR) against a defense allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to running backs. This isn’t the matchup to trust Jonathon Brooks (CAR) despite him approaching double-digit touches last week. Xavier Legette (CAR) faces a defense allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. Despite how well Bryce Young (CAR) has played since earning his starting gig back, that production has only added up to overall QB20 since Week 8. Dallas Goedert (PHI) will likely miss at least this week with a knee injury he suffered against the Ravens on Sunday.
Sleeper: Grant Calcaterra (PHI) is Goedert’s replacement and faces a defense allowing the most fantasy points to tight ends.
CLEVELAND AT PITTSBURGH
Obvious starters: David Njoku (CLE), George Pickens (PIT), Najee Harris (PIT), Steelers D/ST.
Who to start: Nick Chubb (CLE) maintains RB2/flex upside against a defense that has allowed seven rushing TDs to running backs in the last four games. Jerry Jeudy (CLE) is the overall WR3 in standard formats (WR4 in PPR) since Week 8 with 33 receptions (49 targets) for 614 yards and two TDs in the last five games. Cedric Tillman (CLE) maintains WR3/flex upside if he’s active (concussion). Jaylen Warren (PIT) maintains flex appeal as the overall RB21 in standard formats (RB17 in PPR) since Week 10. My gut tells me Russell Wilson (PIT) improves on the 270 passing yards and TD he had at Cleveland in a snow storm in Week 12. Pat Freiermuth (PIT) is the overall TE10 in standard formats (TE11 in PPR) since Week 10 and faces a defense that has allowed 39 receptions for 352 yards and two TDs to tight ends in the last five games.
Who to sit: I’m fading Jameis Winston (CLE) against a defense allowing the fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. Mike Williams (PIT) remains a boom-or-bust candidate with only one target in four games since joining the Steelers.
Sleeper: Elijah Moore (CLE) is the overall WR38 in standard formats (WR31 in PPR) since Week 7 with at least six receptions in four of the last six games.
LAS VEGAS AT TAMPA BAY
Obvious starters: Brock Bowers (LV).
Who to start: Jakobi Meyers (LV) maintains WR3/flex upside if he’s active (ankle). Aidan O’Connell (LV) deserves streaming consideration against a defense allowing the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Mike Evans (TB) remains an obvious starter if he’s active (hamstring/calf). Bucky Irving (TB) is an obvious starter if he’s active (back/hip). Rachaad White (TB) maintains flex appeal with at double-digit touches in 10 of his 11 games this season. Cade Otton (TB) faces a defense allowing the third-most fantasy points to tight ends. The Buccaneers D/ST deserve streaming consideration against an offense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing defenses.
Who to sit: Alexander Mattison (LV) and Zamir White (LV) are likely to miss another game with respective ankle and quadricep injuries. You’re only considering Ameer Abdullah (LV) or Sincere McCormick (LV) if you’re desperate or you’re playing in a large-field tournament in DFS. Jalen McMillan (TB) and Sterling Shepard (TB) only have flex appeal if Evans is out. Sean Tucker (TB) only has flex appeal if Irving is out.
Sleeper: Tre Tucker (LV) has flex appeal against a defense that has allowed 12 TDs to wide receivers in the last nine games.
SEATTLE AT ARIZONA
Obvious starters: D.K. Metcalf (SEA), Jaxon Smith-Njigba (SEA), Kyler Murray (ARI), James Conner (ARI), Trey McBride (ARI).
Who to start: Kenneth Walker (SEA) remains an obvious starter if he’s active (ankle/calf). Marvin Harrison Jr. (ARI) maintains WR3/flex upside as the overall WR27 in standard formats (WR28 in PPR) since Week 8. The Cardinals D/ST faces an offense allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing defenses.
Who to sit: Tyler Lockett (SEA) has four-or-fewer targets in five straight games. Zach Charbonnet (SEA) remains TD-dependent because he hasn’t had double-digit touches since Week 3. Geno Smith (SEA) faces a defense that has only allowed four TD passes in the last six games. I’m fading the Seahawks D/ST on the road against Murray. Noah Fant (SEA) faces a defense allowing the seventh-fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Trey Benson (ARI) remains TD-dependent with only seven touches (all carries) the last two games.
Sleeper: Michael Wilson (ARI) has at least five receptions, 54 yards or a TD in five of the last eight games.
BUFFALO AT L.A. RAMS
Obvious starters: Josh Allen (BUF), James Cook (BUF), Kyren Williams (LAR), Puka Nacua (LAR), Cooper Kupp (LAR).
Who to start: Dalton Kincaid (BUF) is an obvious starter if he’s active (knee). Khalil Shakir (BUF) maintains flex appeal with at least seven targets in six straight games. Matthew Stafford (LAR) is the overall QB8 since Week 8 with 1,591 passing yards and 14 TD passes against only three interceptions in the last six games.
Who to sit: Amari Cooper (BUF) only has 13 targets in four games with the Bills. I’m fading the Bills D/ST on the road against an efficient offense. Ray Davis (BUF) remains TD-dependent with only 38 touches in the last six games (6.3 per game). Demarcus Robinson (LAR) remains TD-dependent with only seven receptions in the last four games.
Sleeper(s): Keon Coleman (BUF) has flex appeal if he’s active (wrist) against a defense that has allowed 15 TDs to wide receivers in 12 games. Dawson Knox (BUF) deserves streaming consideration if Kincaid remains out against a defense allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to tight ends.
CHICAGO AT SAN FRANCISCO
Obvious starters: George Kittle (SF).
Who to start: D’Andre Swift (CHI) and D.J. Moore (CHI) remain obvious starters if they’re active (both are dealing with quadricep injuries). Keenan Allen (CHI) maintains flex appeal with at least eight targets in four of the last five games.
Who to sit: Rome Odunze (CHI) only has flex appeal if Moore is out. Caleb Williams (CHI) faces a defense that has only allowed five TD passes in the last four games. Cole Kmet (CHI) faces a defense allowing the third-fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Deebo Samuel (SF) is the overall WR84 in standard formats (WR73 in PPR) since Week 7. Brock Purdy (SF) faces a defense allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. Jauan Jennings (SF) faces a defense allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers.
Sleeper: Isaac Guerendo (SF) leads a 49ers backfield without Christian McCaffrey or Jordan Mason against a defense allowing 143.6 rushing yards per game and four rushing TDs in the last five games.
L.A. CHARGERS AT KANSAS CITY
Obvious starters: Patrick Mahomes (KC), Travis Kelce (KC).
Who to start: Ladd McConkey (LAC) remains an obvious starter if he’s active (shoulder/knee). Justin Herbert (LAC) is the overall QB11 since Week 8 despite the stinker against the Falcons on Sunday. DeAndre Hopkins (KC) is the overall WR15 across most fantasy formats since Week 9 with 24 receptions (33 targets) for 296 yards and three TDs in the last five games. Xavier Worthy (KC) has WR3/flex upside against a defense that has allowed 54 receptions for 736 yards and six TDs to wide receivers in the last four games.
Who to sit: Gus Edwards (LAC) faces a defense allowing the fewest fantasy points to running backs. Quentin Johnston (LAC) remains TD-dependent with only six receptions in the last four games. I’m fading the Chargers D/ST on the road against Mahomes. Isiah Pacheco (KC) faces a defense allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to running backs. Kareem Hunt (KC) saw significantly less usage with Pacheco back. I’m fading the Chiefs D/ST against an offense allowing the eighth-fewest fantasy points to opposing defenses. Noah Gray (KC) faces a defense allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to tight ends.
Sleeper: Will Dissly (LAC) faces a defense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends.
CINCINNATI AT DALLAS
Obvious starters: Joe Burrow (CIN), Ja’Marr Chase (CIN), Tee Higgins (CIN), Chase Brown (CIN).
Who to start: Rico Dowdle (DAL) is the overall RB15 in standard formats (RB12 in PPR) since Week 9. Jake Ferguson (DAL) faces a defense allowing the second-most fantasy points to tight ends. Cooper Rush (DAL) deserves streaming consideration against a defense allowing the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks.
Who to sit: Mike Gesicki (CIN) is TD-dependent with only nine receptions for 83 yards in the last three games. Ezekiel Elliott (DAL) hasn’t had double-digit touches since Week 8. Jalen Tolbert (DAL) is TD-dependent with three-or-fewer receptions in six straight games. Luke Schoonmaker (DAL) is TD-dependent with Ferguson back.
Sleeper: Brandin Cooks (DAL) faces a defense that has allowed six TDs to wide receivers in the last three games.
