The KAMRUI Essenx E1 is a little computer that measures 3.95″ x 3.95″ x 1.57″ and features support for dual 4K displays, up to 16GB of DDR4 memory, and up to 2TB of solid stater storage.
Powered by an Intel N150 “Twin Lake” quad-core processor, the Essenx E1 is also pretty cheap: Amazon is selling the Essenx E1 for $140 and up.
The starting price is for an entry-level configuration with just 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but both components are user upgradeable: the system has a DDR4 SODIMM slot for memory and an M.2 2280 slot for PCIe 3.0 NVMe or SATA SSDs. Or you can buy a model that comes with more memory and storage pre-installed. Higher-spec models are pretty affordable too:
Each version ships with Windows 11 Pro and features 2300 RPM fan for cooling,
Ports include:
- 1 x HDMI 2.0
- 1 x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1 x Gigabit Ethernet
- 2 x USB 3.2 Type-A
- 2 x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 1 x 3.5mm audio
- 1 x DC power input
The KAMRUI Essenx E1 isn’t the smallest Twin lake mini PC I’ve seen to date. The GMK NucBox G2 Plus and Morefine M8S are both smaller, but those systems have LPDDR5 onboard memory that is not user upgradeable.
So the closest competitor is probably the ACEMAGIC V1, which is a 3.9″ x 3.9″ x 1.2″ computer with support for DDR4 memory and PCIe 3.0 NVMe storage. In fact, the porta layout for the ACEMAGIC V1 is so similar to that of the Essenx E1 that I suspect they have the same (or nearly identical) motherboards, even though the computers are in different cases.
The ACEMAGIC V1 is also competitively priced – you can pick up a 16GB/512GB model from Amazon for $158 when you use the on-page coupon, or purchase a 16GB/1TB model for $199.
