Lenovo has launched a new 2-in-1 Windows tablet for the Chinese market which features a 13.3 inch, 3000 x 2000 pixel display, a detachable keyboard, and an Intel N100 Alder Lake-N processor.
It’s unclear whether Lenovo has any plans to bring the new S130 tablet to the US or other markets anytime soon, but it’s an interesting device that combines a low-cost, low-power processor with a big, high-res display.
While Lenovo does offer other 2-in-1 Windows devices with 13 inch or larger screens, most are laptops with touchscreen displays and 360 degree hinges. Most of the company’s current-gen tablets with detachable keyboards are Chromebooks. But since ChromeOS isn’t supported in China, it’s unsurprising to see the company opting for Windows in that country, even for relatively affordable devices like the Lenovo S130 tablet.
Prices start at 2899 CNY (about $395) for a model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while there’s also a 16GB/512GB version that sells for 3199 CNY ($435.
Both models are powered by Intel’s N100 processor, which is a 6-watt, 4-core, 4-thread chip with Intel UHD integrated graphics. And both feature displays with support for up to 420 nits brightness and 10-point multitouch input, stereo speakers, a 5,000 mAh battery, two USB 3.0 Type-C ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and 5MP rear and 1MP front-facing cameras.
The tablet measures 288.9 x 207.5 x 10.7mm (11.4″ x 8.2″ x 0.4″) and weighs 768 grams (1.7 pounds) without the keyboard.
