Overview
Torrey Pines is the reigning CIF San Diego Section Open Division champion. But this year’s Falcons will be without Laurel Gonzalez, who became the first boy or girl to win section Player of the Year in three sports. She’s now playing lacrosse at Johns Hopkins. There are a handful of changes for the 2024-25 season, one of them having to do with the playoffs. The Divisions 2, 3 and 4 brackets will consist of 16 teams instead of 12. The Open Division will remain an 8-team bracket.
